How To EQ Vocals

The vocal is arguably the most important track in any song, so it’s important to make sure it can be heard clearly and consistently. EQ is a powerful tool when it comes to removing noise from the track, balancing the tone, and helping the vocal play nice with all the other inputs. In this video, I'll show you the ropes so you can know how to EQ vocals in your own tracks.

Keep in mind, every vocal and every instrument is going to be slightly different. You have to learn how the tools work and then use your ears to know how the tool can help you in your specific case. Because of this, the settings I use on this vocal will probably be a little different than the ones you’ll need on your vocal tracks, but sometimes watching someone else do it is helpful in understanding how the process works.
